We move every year or so. :-) Here’s where we are living in right now for at least the next 12 months. LOL

Rosewood Pointe is just right outside The Fort Global City. I like the community vibe to it which is missing in The Columns Ayala Ave where we used to live. Here, you can see families and kids playing around and having fun instead of being just shacked up in their own units. We got a 3 bedroom, 2 toilet/bath unit and a washing/drying area on the Deck floor. The place is about 96 square meters so it’s a huge jump from my 32 square meter unit at The Columns.

Notice how beautiful the pool area is? It’s breath-taking, especially in the early evening when all the lights around the area are lit up. It’s like you’re not even within Metro Manila anymore although you’re only a stone’s throw away from Bonifacio Global City. You can even rent the cabana’s surrounding the pool. There’s 3 of them total and each can fit 10 people inside.

The best part of all is that we’re now all living together including Quan who has grown quite a bit since, compared to his  pictures published here. He’s one uber cute dog who scratches on our room’s door if we don’t wake up and come out of our room 10 minutes after he hears our alarm go off.

We were there for 4 days and 3 nights (minus 1 whole day spent in Hong Kong Disneyland). We stayed at a nice, quaint hotel far enough from the crazier part of Macau where all the big casinos and hotels are but near enough for you to conveniently go there should you want to. One good thing about the Royal Hotel Macau though is that they have a free shuttle bus that goes around the City so you can go around Macau easily. Plus, a lot of their hotel employees are Filipinos so you can always get assistance very easily. The Filipino front desk officer was kind enough to have given us a room with a nice view overlooking the park at Estrada Da Vitoria. We also spent 1 afternoon with a few other hotel guests for a paid tour of Macau including a sumptuous buffet lunch at another hotel.

Lory and I are not big casino fans but you just can’t go to Macau without checking out the casinos so went to The Venetian Macao to play at the casino and watch a truly breath-taking show of Zaia by Cirque Du Soleil. That show was worth the money. Too bad we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside the theater. After the show, we went ahead and played for a few hours in The Venetian casino but only with the slot machines. :-)

The Venetian Macau is an amazing hotel with its own replica of Venice complete with side street shops and gondola rides. You’d never think it’s already 1:00 AM while you’re inside because they’ve made the place look like you’re outdoors in the afternoon.

We also visited Fisherman’s Wharf and the famous Macau Tower where we had another gut-busting lunch buffet. I must have gained at least 5 pounds when we got back to Manila (err… Makati).

No trip to Macau would be complete without visiting Senado Square which is Macao’s version of Tutuban only the shops are nicer. We were shocked to see that the electronics/mobile phones there were actually more expensive knowing that they are so close to China where most of this stuff is made these days.

Well, that’s it. Our next destination would either be Japan or South Korea. :-)

We spent the entire day in Hong Kong adn stayed in Disneyland to witness the cool fireworks. That’s how we celebrated Lory’s birthday last October 10, 2009.

We have my entire family come over and we’d have lunch together by the poolside and let all my cute nephews and nieces play around and swim to their hearts content. You can see by the expressions on their cute little faces how much then enjoy our family weekend gatherings here.

This was the weekend before Lory and I flew to Macao to spend a few days there celebrating her 27th birthday.

We wanted a place that would be most convenient for her so we got a place that’s just right across RCBC Plaza.

The Columns Ayala Avenue is a nice place to live in. Unlike our first condo (Raya Gardens), I found living here most invigorating. I can walk around the Makati CBD in my cargo shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops while the yuppies scurry about in a futile attempt to get ahead in the rat race.

We sometimes invite our family over here during weekends for lunch and small talk. Lory took a few pictures of the 7th floor where all the amenities are. Take a look.

I cannot imagine how this day would have been like if nobody came. What if nobody came? What if the weather didn’t cooperate? What if… What if?

We all have that tendency to ask “What if?”. It’s our nature to second-guess the wisdom of the universe. To wonder… What if we’re not really meant to be together? What if there’s someone waiting for me over at the next corner? The next stop? What if I had already met the one for me but was too stupid to even recognize her? What if??? We just can’t seem to “trust” enough.

We have many crossroads in our lifetime. Those turningpoints that demand a moment of clarity to help us make the right decision. In my life, I’ve been lucky enough to have always met people who taught me or helped me learn a lesson at every crossroad. Just in time for me to be sure that I’m always making the right decision and spare me from asking that dreadful question of “What if?”.

Lory has helped me learn to stop asking “What if?”. Having her in my life pushes away all uncertainties and help me focus not on “What if?” but on “What Is”. No second-guessing, no regrets. No “What ifs?”. Just “What is” and that’s “Us”.

From now on, we’ll be facing crossroads and turningpoints in our life trusting that we’re going to make the right decisions together and not doubt each other. No room for doubts. Where there is love, there can be no doubt.

This time, I wanted to get a car that somehow reflects my fiancee’s personality so I got her Remus – our new Toyota Yaris. That’s what Lory named her new car and she absolutely loves it. It’s also quite a gas saver too, compared to our Chevrolet. With the recent increases in gas prices, this car really rocks. :-)

I guess it’s father time having an effect on me for living in a nice condominium such as Raya Gardens just seemed to have lost its appeal to me. The place looks great but I guess I’ve “matured” enough to want a simpler life.

That’s why we have acquired a new place at a really nice place just outside of Metro Manila but not too far for it to be inconvenient to be driving to and from Makati where we work.

Below are some pictures of our new place. You wouldn’t believe how beautiful La Marea in San Pedro, Laguna is. All our friends who’ve been there couldn’t help but truly love the place.

He’s had plenty of mud thrown his way courtesy of the mainstream media. These are done mostly by other prominent business and political personalities that Mark Jimenez collided with, to tarnish his reputation. To make things worse, Mark Jimenez is a very reclusive man. You don’t see him grandstanding on the evening news like most politicians these days. So all the inaccurate information about him that is being pumped into the mainstream media is just about all that Filipinos both here and abroad know about Mark Jimenez.
They don’t know that Mark Jimenez is the largest single benefactor of the Catholic church. Or that his Hulog ng Langit Foundation was one of the first to come to the aid of the Wowowee Ultra stampede incident. Mark Jimenez has also done other things to directly help the Filipino people such as giving tens of millions of pesos to the
parents of students who lost their money and could not enroll in school because of that College Assurance Plan fiasco.

One more thing I noticed about him when I met the man is that he loves to talk… well… more like teach. And if there’s someone who is worth your time listening to, he’s probably it.

Mark Jimenez is a self-made man and his achievements are truly world-class. With all the things he has achieved though, Mark MJ Jimenez remains the most down-to-earth person I have ever come across. Do you know that during Bill Clinton’s reign as US President, Mark Jimenez was one of his closest advisers? MJ is the very first Filipino to ever spend a night in the White House. If I remember it right, he was somewhat in-charge of the United States’ Latin American affairs.

Mario Crespo or Mark MJ Jimenez as he is more popularly known, is also hands down the most brilliant man I personally know and also the most misunderstood. His understanding of the real root cause of the Philippines’ struggles as both a nation and people, I believe is one of the sharpest and least pretentious.

He’s got a lot to say about why things are the way they are and why we (Filipinos) are the way we are right now. Most importantly, I firmly believe that he has the answers… Coming from someone as objective thinking as myself, that’s something as I don’t get impressed easy!
